The Student Animation Competition is an annual competition hosted by "A Bunch of Short Guys" and managed by Vince Sidwell. The purpose of the competition is to showcase the 2D and 3D animation skills of local talent and give them an opportunity to display their work in the largest conference f its kind inthe area. The competition is open to all persons enrolled in a high school or college in the state of Texas. The competition is held each year in June with winners and their awards being announced during Industry Giants event.
Judging is handled by sr. level animators from a variety of local animation and game development studios. Students compete for cash, software.
